NZ Foundation Youth Pipe Band to Compete In Australia: Apllications Available

clipped from www.nzpipebands.org.nz The Education group are pleased to announce the following positions for musical directors of the Foundation Youth Band. Musical Directors Piping: Martin Frewin and Stuart Easton. Musical Director Drumming: James Laughlin, Assistant Directors Drumming: Glen Millar and Adam Alexander. These people are delighted to be part of this initiative and will work well together to achieve the desired outcome. The Foundation Youth Band will consist of 36 pipers and drummers representing each of our Centres. The objective of the Youth Band is to attend the Australian National Championships at Easter 2012. A concert tour of New Zealand is also being planned Auditions are now being called for pipers and drummers who will be 20 years of age or younger in April 2012. To be eligible for participation in the Juvenile event applicants Date of Birth must be on or after the 9th April 1994. Application form available here.
